. 26th February 2000 - RetroRocket is Launched! |
| Site Relaunch! After a
spell of 5 months with no updates the site has been re-launched. A new look, new name and
new URL. I hardly recognise it. The RetroRocket has been launched. RetroRocket was formally known as The Crypt, and has been running since 1997.
It has now been re-named and relaunched because it now has its own url (thecrypt.co.uk
wasnt available). I am also able to start work on the site again after a five month break
due to faulty pc equipment.
Because of the re-vamp, some of the content may still show
traces of the old site. Please bear with me, all will be working 100% within the next few
weeks, and new content will start being added soon.
Also :- New features.
The search engine has been added to the site, and the talkback section has been
changed into a bulletin board so that you can share your comments, game requests, and
questions with the world. |

. . 25th September 1999 - Whew! |
Finally I've completed
the design changes to the games pages, bringing a slightly new look to the site. I shall
be converting more of the site to the new look soon, but for now will concentrate on
adding more content.

. . 2nd September 1999 - More Design Changes |
I thought I'd better say
something about what I'm doing at the moment, because I havent updated the site in over a
week. Well, I'm working on new design changes to brighten up the site, and as they affect
the games pages, I want to finish them before I add new games. I should be finished in a
week or two, so don't expect any major uploads of games till then..

a series of design changes this weekend. You may notice that the site now has a
slightly curvy feel now. Also this news page has been changed to allow for a
Javascript / DHTML custom scrollbar and a Hot Links bar. If the scroll window causes
you problems, please email me.

other games are under development. Check out the links page

. 9th August 1999 - Disaster recovery and a load more games |
Well, My main PC
is not up and running yet, but I have managed to get past the 8.4 Gb limit on my P200 and
recover all the websites files from the hard drive, so we are back in business (if a
little slower). Not only have I got the site back on its feet, but added probably the
largest upload of games yet (added approx 90 G & H Spectrum games), and added the
Commadore games section with about 40 games so far.

. 3rd August - DISASTER |
Due to a problem
with my PC which occured during a recent upload of the entire site, some of the games are
missing. These games will have no picture next to them so will be easy to spot. I will not
be able to restore these games until I can afford repairs on my PC in about 2 weeks.
Sorry! If you would like one of the missing games, email me and I will see what I can do. In the mean time, I will continue to
carry out small updates.

. 7th July 1999 - The Crypt is re-launched |
The new look Crypt
is re-launched as a brand new website. Formerly part of my own website, I have now
singled out The Crypt, and created this site. The previous site ran for two years,
but was difficult to update and was hidden away amoungst other topics. This
re-vamped site has been designed from scratch to be easily updated. Also, the site
will cover more than just ZX Spectrum emulation. I plan to include a mix of games
from many popular formats
